she does great work and i am so happy she is our guest dt this time!
after leaving my hometown in Singapore when I was 17, I've studied, worked, and lived in and out of boxes in Italy, England, Canada and now call Norway my home. Besides travelling, my greatest love is to tell the many stories of my life through photos, patterned paper and lots of fun products! Before coming to Norway, I worked in Communications and Arts Management and worked as a demonstrator for Stampin’Up! in Toronto, Canada.

I love photography, reading, watching TV, movies, writing and scuba-diving. I am settling into life in Norway and having a lot of fun at my home scrapbooking studio. I do occasional demonstrations with Steffens in Oslo and am looking forward to growing my scrapping career. My blog is at: http://justperspective.blogspot.com

time for a design team reveal! (with a prize)

so we have had some exciting news, our guest dt this week tish aka artgirl1 has become a permanent dt member!

Hi! My name is Tish and I live in the “southern part of heaven” – home of the Tar Heels! I have two wonderful teenage daughters, ages 16 and 18; 1 dog and 3 cats. My older daughter is a freshman in college, and my younger daughter is a senior in High School.

I started scrapbooking about 12 years ago. I was invited to a crop and brought only photos and scissors, but went home with several completed pages! I knew I was hooked. I was in graduate school at the time and found scrapping to be a wonderful way to relax and let my creativity take over after all the math and accounting classes.

I have always loved photography – I still remember that first little Kodak camera when I was 8 years old. I loved taking photos. Now I am trying to learn how to use a new Nikon digital SLR!

I LOVE (I guess you could call it an “addiction”) papers. They can be solid, printed, smooth or textured. I can remember having this same feeling about fabrics. I was about 10 years old when my mom taught me how to sew. I fell in love with fabrics, laces, ribbons, and buttons.

I would describe my style as Evolutionary – constantly evolving. I enjoy trying new techniques and using new embellishments. I am also learning to incorporate a number of other crafts into my scrapbooks: rubber stamps, cross-stitch, crochet, and machine sewing.

I receive so much satisfaction when I make something and give it as a gift – and the recipient (usually my mother or daughters) displays it proudly!

finally team A design team reveal with challenge for you!

so sorry about the delay everyone, its been a crazy week here! but without further ado here is team A's reveal!

this month i told the girls to pick their own sketch so here we go!

first i want to introduce our guest designer: Tracy aka nannytracy over at cafemom:

I am a SAHM who is homeschooling my 7 year old. My 4 year old granddaughter also lives with us (as does her mother, my 28 year old daughter). I have been married to my best friend for 15 years now, between us we now have 6 grandchildren.

I first started scrapping in 2001. At that time I had NO idea what was out there. I just knew that I had just returned from a once in a life time vacation and wanted to do something different with the pictures. I used plain white paper for all the backgrounds and added some strips of colored paper and stickers with lots of journaling. My hubby was so proud he took it to work and showed it off. One of the ladies in his office said something about scrapbooking and an Expo that was coming up in a couple of weeks. LOL. If he knew then what he knows now he probably wouldn't get the two of us together. I have been hooked ever since, but the best part is how much I have learned in the past year or so on CafeMom. The ladies in the scrapping groups I belong to are so talented and they have inspired me to think outside of my comfort zone on many occasions. The quality of my pages has improved immeasurably.
